St Mary’s is the smallest active parish in the Poringland Benefice serving the 50 or so people who live in the hamlet of Howe.

St Mary’s church has a small but loyal congregation which averages from 9 to 10. A kitchenette and toilet extension has been added to enhance the church building.

Under the current COVID-19 guidelines a Sunday Service of BCP Morning Prayer is being held on the fourth Sunday of the month, starting at 11.15am. See our homepage for details of regular church services.

Previously a regular service was held each month on the fourth Sunday, though this arrangement usually changes for Easter and Christmas. The main Sunday service is held at 11.15am. Please refer to the Benefice Calendar for any changes in time.
