Project Update August 2017
At the beginning of 2017, after an evaluation process under the guidance of Tim Bunn, (project consultant), Paul Robinson Partnership were appointed as the Architects for the management and construction phase of All Saints Centre Building Project.
To date, a total of £380,000 has been pledged or donated towards the project, which is now estimated to cost in the region of £1.7million.
Over the last few weeks, the site behind Poringland Village Hall has been partially cleared to make way for initial foundations to be laid, later this summer, and also to allow time for ground beyond those foundations to settle.
On the fund-raising side, we have recently seen full houses at a Motown and Michael Buble tribute evening with Brian Weir, and a concert with Hayley Moss and Ben Lake. Many thanks to all of you who supported these events and, also, to all those who regularly give, both financially and in giving your time in many different ways to fund-raising events and to the maintenance and running of the current building.
We continue to work together with the diocesan finance consultant, Geoff Freeman, and we are currently planning a public fund-raising launch later this autumn. He recently expressed confidence in raising the funds and excitement at being involved in one of the largest parish projects the diocese has ever supported.
