New Season & New Ministry
Base

Praise God with us because our season in
Malawi has changed so dramatically with the new year. The change is like night
and day. Before the new year we were working alone but now 3 people have joined
us full time on our team and 2 more will arrive soon. Before we were in a 2
bedroom flat now we have moved into our new base with 9 bedrooms that have been
overflowing with visiting teams. Before we were not sure we could afford to rent
a big enough house for our ministry, now have down payment on a place and are
renting a mansion with space for classrooms and dormitory and team dining room
and office etc. Before we were struggling with some crazy relational tensions
this year as we persevere in love, God is melting hearts and problems away. So
much has happened these past months we have been too overwhelmed to communicate
well so instead of bombarding you with a million words here is the past months
in photos below. Also for more pictures of our new base click

Back
in the UK from May - August

It
has been 2 years this May since we have been back in the UK as a family. We are
so excited that we are going to be able to be in the UK for 3 months to get
reconnect with friends, family and church. We will be staying in a house in
Seaford and are looking forward to seeing you, when are you free to catch
up?

The
Fat Goat project was a success

After some generous gifts at Christmas of fat goats from friends in
the UK we bought 8 goats and 10 pigs for the 270 children of Maoni Orphanage.
The animals are a breeding stock with 2 of the pigs already pregnant. Each year
babies will be given to other orphans and the kids will enjoy meat!

YWAM Discipleship Training School (DTS) this October at
our base

The
DTS is a life changing 6 month course with Youth With A Mission Blantyre. It is
specially geared towards young people and those who want to go into full time
ministry in the nations. It is a residential course with 12 weeks of lectures
and 8-10 weeks of outreach to those in greatest need of God's love in this
region of Africa. If you want more information for you or a friend please contact
us.

Maize
distribution to village orphans
Thank you to all who helped fund the distribution of Maize this
winter. The full 11 tons was distributed in 3 locations to the most desperate
orphans from the surround. We were helped by two teams with this, the first was
from Mozambique.(see pic below) It was great to have a bigger team for the
distribution as we love to be holistic in our outreach. A bigger team means when
we arrive in a village we can Evangelize, gather & train pastors, teach
children, distribute food to orphans, send groups out to build relationships
and heal the sick. God was awesome!

Morning
Prayers in the Prayer tent

One of the biggest joys of starting a base is that we can hold
house of prayer meetings here each day and start to seek God as a community. Oh
we love His presence! We know this is what we were created for and we find our
fruitfulness flows from the place of dynamic connection with God in prayer and
praise. Soaking each day in the Holy Spirit. This has been what has brought the
biggest breakthroughs for us recently. We have had some significant battles that
we have seen God transform by just soaking in the Holy Spirit and drinking of
God's love. Not war-ing in intercession, Not working out the wise thing to do
just soaking in Him. Just Soaking in His love while he delivers us from fear.

Introducing
Andrew Anna Checkley

After working with the Checkleys in Zimbabwe for a few times over
the past years we started to dream of what we could achieve as a team together.
They have now joined us for the next few years to help lead the work here in
Malawi together. These guys are amazing and you will hear a lot more about them
over the coming years. But for now here is the report Andy wrote about the
outreach we went on together last night where we saw God really break in.
Last night we went to a local village and showed the story of Jesus
as a film on a huge screen. This is an amazing way to tell people about God,
which does not demand literacy skills in order to know God! After the film
people came forward for Jesus to heal them, and we had the privilege of being
used by God to release his power. Many were healed. Anna prayed for a boy who
was deaf in one ear. Jesus restored his hearing, tested by asking questions in
his ear all of which he answered. A lady called Alema asked Andy to pray for her
arm. She had completely lost sensation in her left arm, from the shoulder to the finger tips. After prayer she told us the numbness
had gone and she had regained feeling. We tested by hiding her hand and touching
each finger (which she could not detect before). Thanks to God she now scored
100% in the test! Another lady could not walk without pain in her legs, so
naturally we told the legs to be healed in Jesus name. The pain left and she
walked around freely. I kept testing and questioning her, but she insisted she
was now fine. But for some reason it only sunk in when I saw her separate from
the group dancing freely before God in worship. Many others were freed from
physical pains. Another lady was suffering from a headache. As soon as it was
healed she immediately fetched her sick son for prayer. Gradually more people
came for prayer and were added to the crowd. God's love was tangible, and the
level of worship to God increased as the stars came out. Then people threw
themselves into high energy African dance, stamping and clapping while singing
favourite local worship songs to God. The venue was basic, a rural village with
some simple houses surrounded by corn fields, but the party was unforgettable!
And under a sky filled with stars the atmosphere was charged with energy and
God's love and power. As we bumped our way back along the dirt road the words to
a favourite worship song of mine came to mind:
"Heaven is here now. He's
all around us. Heaven is Jesus. It's the moments we meet."
