4D Report Update - November 2011
Hello again! I know it wasn't long since I last sent an update on 4D youth project. But this last week has been so exciting, I feel I need to share news with you all to encourage you! Hope you enjoy reading the following update. Pete Tyson

From 10pm on Friday 11 November until 10pm on Saturday 12 November, young people were praying at TheAttic. We also watched films, played games, had times of worship and generally had fun together too. What is so exciting is that praying for 24hrs was an idea that came from the young people. And of the 5 who came, one said that she was not yet a Christian. I asked her if she felt she would call herself a Christian. Her response? “Not just yet”.
The Christians we're discipling through 4D youth project are seriously inspiring. I don't know about you, but I feel both encouraged and challenged by their hunger to press in to God more and have him as an ever central part of their lives. Praise our faithful God!
Thank you to all who have been praying for Insight in Framingham Earl High School
On Monday I have the gospel message as part of Insight. The session was called 'Why Did Jesus Have To Die?' Essentially, we looked at how guilty we all are of sin and what a negative affect this has on us and the world God created. We then learned that Jesus, though completely blameless, died in our place so that we can know God fully and enjoy life to the full. I asked the group to close their eyes while I prayed acceptance of all that Jesus had done, and a commitment to turn from sin and live lives that follow him. I asked those who had prayed that prayer for the first time to raise their hands while the group had their eyes closed. 5 people responded!
I then asked again, when everyone had their eyes open, and this time 4 raised their hands. They not only committed to following Jesus, but were brave enough to show this to their friends!! Praise God. And the one who didn't want to share with her friends was the girl mentioned above in the bit about 24hr prayer. So that's huge progress for her!!
But this is not the end of the journey. I emphasised that deciding to become a Christian is only the beginning. I made it clear that being a Christian is about following Jesus every day, and said that I would help them to learn how to do this, how to pray, read the Bible and understand what the church is all about.
Additional Support Needed
I cannot emphasise how much we need to pray for the work of 4D. Kids becoming Christians is one thing. Read Matthew 13. We now have to ensure that the seed that have been sown and have taken root, are not shallow, on a rocky path or sown among weeds. We now have a duty to pray for these young people.
We also need volunteers who will help with the work of discipling, being a second adult at events and can help with admin. I cannot emphasise enough that the work is growing, but we need people to really help cope with the number of young people God has trusted us with.
